Breaking: NPP Adenta Kumi’s pregnant wife suffers miscarriage after his arrested at dawn
Alfred Ababio Kumi’s wife has reportedly suffered a miscarriage just hours after he was arrested in a dawn raid on Friday, May 23 by the National Investigation Bureau (NIB)
According to Kumi’s mother, the heavily armed operation left the family in shock—especially his pregnant wife, who panicked, fell, and began bleeding when a warning shot was fired.
She was four months pregnant. The arrest is believed to be linked to Kumi’s petition to President Mahama, accusing members of the committee investigating Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo of misconduct.
He alleged some Justices and a lawyer linked to the petitioner were seen dining and discussing the case just days after the committee's first sitting.
Kumi is currently in the custody of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
